The Cambridge American Cemetery and Memorial honors almost 9,000 Americans who died in operations based out of the United Kingdom. These include those who fought in the skies over Europe, those who battled to secure the Atlantic, and those who prepared for and participated in the invasion through Normandy and the campaigns that followed. It encompasses burial plots for 3,812 men, including 24 unknowns; a chapel; and a Wall of the Missing. Twenty-nine men from the 95th Bomb Group (H) are buried in this cemetery. The Wall of the Missing records names and particulars for 5,127 men Missing in Action or Lost or Buried at Sea. Four statues—an airman, Coast Guardsman, sailor, and soldier—stand guard over the Wall of the Missing. The names of 114 men from the 95th Bomb Group (H) are listed on the Wall of the Missing.
